Katrina Hudson has been working in higher education for over seven years. She has a passion for providing leadership, guidance, and personal growth to a variety of students; such as, nontraditional, first generational, minority, and at-risk students as well as implementing and coordinating programs that speak to the retention and success of underrepresented populations. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Marketing and she has a Master’s Degree in Higher Educational Leadership. She began her career at Illinois State University where she worked for programs such as TRIO (Student Support Services), Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation and the Julia N. Visor Academic Center.
Ms. Hudson currently works for Ivy Tech Community College-Lake County, serving as the Program Coordinator of the Associate Accelerated Program (ASAP). This is Ivy Tech’s most distinguished and distinctive of programs that allows students to graduate with their Associates Degree in eleven months and ultimately complete their bachelor’s degree in three years.
Katrina has advised, mentored, and counseled over 300 students. She is a huge advocate for students and her community.
